3M™ Hot Melt Adhesive 3750 tan is formulated to grab and seal quickly, meeting the demands of high-volume production settings such as packing, woodworking, and assembly. When heated to its specified melt point, this adhesive achieves a low viscosity/high-flow rate and an aggressive hot tack that bonds to handling strength in seconds, helping maintain high-tempo productivity. These properties increase the speed of carton closures and provide adhesion to wood, paperboard, corrugated, and other fibrous substrates. It offers strong shear strength and low peel strength, ensuring packages stay sealed and components stay bonded under most conditions. The adhesive has a 30–40 second open time along a 1/8" bead, sufficient for positioning and adjusting for fit, which supports high-tempo productivity for packaging, woodworking, and applications involving fibrous materials. It is manufactured using 100% solids thermoplastic resin for use with 3M™ Hot Melt applicators and, as a low-volatile-organic compound, produces minimal odor when heated, supporting a comfortable work environment. Hot melt adhesives like this have melting points typically between 170–250°F (76–121°C) depending on formulation and are applied with low-temperature applicators. They provide nearly instant bonds and, while aggressive, some varieties soften upon reheating, allowing separation of bonded surfaces.
