The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™+ Clean and Strip XT Pro disc features silicon carbide abrasive mineral incorporated into an open nylon web, effectively removing rust, paint, mill scale, coatings, and adhesives from surfaces without significantly altering the base material. Its high-strength fibers are highly conformable, resist chunking and loading, and perform well on edges. The disc’s reengineered fiber type offers high conformability and strength, enabling a larger contact area with the workpiece for faster removal rates, conforming to weld bead ripples to polish welds without removing them, and working in hard-to-reach areas without damaging the substrate. It provides low vibration, decreased chunking, low spark, a high speed rating, and long life, suitable for use on disc sanders or die grinders. The silicon carbide mineral, combined with non-woven nylon fibers using resin, creates a sharp, durable abrasive surface where the resin bond strengthens the disc and gradually breaks down to reveal new fibers and sharp mineral, delivering a consistent cut over the abrasive’s life. The thick, open web formed by fiber strands, resin, and abrasive allows for effective removal of burrs, soils, and contaminants while maintaining workpiece geometry to reduce rework and boost productivity. The web gaps allow swarf to escape efficiently.
