Lyon® standard steel single tier lockers are constructed with 16-gauge one-piece doors and 24-gauge body parts, with door frame corners laps welded to ensure a strong and rigid assembly. Each locker door features 6-inch-wide louvers for ventilation and the unit includes 6-inch-high legs to provide additional toe room below the door. The recessed steel handle is designed to sit flush with the door to reduce snagging and includes an internal hasp for securing with a user-provided padlock. These lockers utilize Lyon®'s patent-pending metal nano-roller latching system, which engages the lockbar at both the top and bottom of the frame to enhance protection against break-ins, while a tamper-resistant nylon lockbar guide ensures smooth, quieter operation. The lockers can be ordered either unassembled or assembled; assembly in the field is facilitated by nuts and bolts with the door and frame shipping as one piece, ready to attach to the sides and back. For those who prefer, Lyon® offers a professionally assembled option using pop rivets for a durable construction. It is recommended to anchor the lockers securely to the wall or floor during installation for safety and stability.
