The Merit Chrome Plated Brass Schedule 40 Nipple measures 3/4 x close NPT male and is crafted from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230. These chrome plated red brass nipples are easier to machine, exhibit reduced brittleness, and provide enhanced corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, which is prone to dezincification. Brass offers robust corrosion resistance from water and heat, and it withstands attacks from salt water, acids, and minerals present in peaty soils.
