The Merit chrome plated brass Schedule 40 nipple measures 3/4 inch by 4-1/2 inches NPT male and is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, Alloy 230. These chrome plated red brass nipples are easier to machine, less brittle, and more resistant to corrosion than yellow brass, as they do not dezincify.
