The Merit Brass 250 lb lead-free fitting is a 3/4" union NPT female red brass fitting designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). These fittings have a pressure rating of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G. and comply with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. They offer superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, while the relative softness of the material facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
