The Merit Brass 3" square head cored plug features a 125 lb lead-free fitting with NPT female threads. Made from red brass, these fittings are suitable for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.), with pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G. The fittings comply with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. Red brass provides superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and its relative softness allows for easy installation and a tight seal.
