The Merit Brass 150 lb lead-free fitting is a 1-1/4" threaded companion flange with NPT female connections, designed for use in low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). These fittings have pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., conforming to ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. The red brass material provides superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and its relative softness facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Brass fittings are primarily utilized in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, as well as in oil, gas, and steam applications.
