The Merit Brass 250 lb lead free fitting 1/2" union NPT female is made of red brass, suitable for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). The fitting has pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G., and it meets ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. It offers superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and its relatively soft material allows for easy installation and a tight seal. These brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, as well as in oil, gas, and steam systems.
