The Merit Brass 125 lb lead free fitting 1/4" cap NPT female is made of red brass and is designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). The fitting has pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G., and complies with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. It provides superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, and its relative softness allows for easy installation and a tight seal. These brass fittings are primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications but are also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
