Bare Ground Clear Way potassium acetate provides fast and reliable anti-icing and deicing performance without containing damaging chlorides, glycols, or methanols. It is completely water soluble, readily biodegradable, non-flammable, and safer for bridges and roadway surfaces. Clear Way potassium acetate meets FAA specifications and is suitable for application on runways, taxiways, and bridge surfaces. It has a low freeze point of -4°F, making it an ideal deicer for environmentally sensitive areas. The product is generally applied undiluted using existing spray equipment capable of uniform application. When spray equipment allows adjustable application rates, potassium acetate should be applied at 0.5 gallons per 1000 square feet of surface area treated, with possible higher application rates up to 1.5 gallons per 1000 square feet as experience warrants. Low spray pressures that produce large droplet sizes are preferred for optimal performance. The package includes potassium acetate solution suitable for pavement and airfield applications, ensuring compliance with FAA standards.
