The kit includes Grade TCLP binderless borosilicate glass microfiber filter media with a particle retention of 0.7 μm. The filter media is acid treated and subjected to multi-stage deionized water rinsing to conform to EPA Method 1311. Made from inherently low barium and zinc borosilicate glass, the media is resistant to acids and bases. It is specifically recommended for use in the U.S. EPA Method 1311 "Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure," which is designed to determine the mobility of both organic and inorganic analytes present in liquid, solid, and multiphasic wastes. This product saves time and waste disposal expense in the lab by eliminating the need for technician acid treating and rinsing procedures.
