The kit features a complex proprietary fused 100% polypropylene (PP) fibrous matrix, which is a lightweight polyolefin offering high chemical resistance to most short-term exposures to organic solvents, acids, and alkalis. It has a 290 g/m² basis weight, sufficient to safely and quickly handle typical lab bench volume spills up to 600 ml. The material lays flat as a bench pad with enough stiffness to reduce "bunch up" issues seen with other competing brands, while remaining soft enough for use as a wipe. Binding dots within the material accumulate fluids and facilitate migration deeper into the pad.
