The Grade TSS binderless borosilicate glass microfiber is designed for total suspended solids testing, specifically for EPA Methods 2540C and 2540D, which involve testing dissolved and suspended solids in water and wastewater. It features a high flow rate combined with high capacity and contains media with no added extractables to prevent sample contamination. The filter provides excellent wet strength and is commonly used in gravimetric analysis of air pollutants, as membrane support pads, membrane prefilters, for clarification of reagent and buffer solutions, filtration of eluent for HPLC, and as moisture analysis pads.
