The kit features a complex proprietary fused 100% polypropylene (PP) fibrous matrix made from a lightweight polyolefin, offering high chemical resistance to most short-term exposure of organic solvents, acids, and alkalis. It has a basis weight of 290g/m2, which is sufficient to safely and quickly handle typical lab bench volume spills up to 600ml. The mat lays flat as a bench pad with enough stiffness to reduce "bunch up" often seen with other competing brands while remaining soft enough to be used as a wipe. Binding dots accumulate fluids and migrate them deeper into the pad.
