Grade TSS is a binderless borosilicate glass microfiber designed for total suspended solids analysis, specifically for EPA methods 2540C and 2540D used in testing dissolved and suspended solids in water and wastewater. It offers a high flow rate with high capacity and the media contains no added extractables, which helps eliminate sample contamination. The material features excellent wet strength and is also commonly used in gravimetric analysis of air pollutants, as membrane support pads, membrane prefilters, for clarification of reagent and buffer solutions, filtration of eluent for HPLC, and as moisture analysis pads.
