The binder-free glass microfiber thimbles are designed for the determination of total suspended solids (TSS) according to Standard Method 2540 D and EPA Method 160.2, as well as for volatile suspended solids (VSS). The 934-AH® pre-washed and pre-weighed thimbles are intended for high heat applications exceeding 550°C and are washed, dried, desiccated, and fired to 550°C. These thimbles are weighed to a four-decimal place resolution and represent the industry standard 934-AH® glass microfiber filter, ready for immediate use. They meet the necessary requirements for VSS and TSS analysis and are comparable to the Whatman RTU series, Environmental Express Pro Weigh series, and Ahlstrom Munksjo 169W series. The pre-washed version is packaged within a plastic container in stacks without pans or barcoding, while the pre-washed and weighed version is individually packaged in a pan with a human-readable serial number, weight, and barcode. Both versions effectively reduce workflow by eliminating several preparation steps and provide superior quality assurance. Warranty terms apply as specified by the manufacturer.
