The kit features disposable Luer-Lok™ and pressure fitting ultrasonically bonded for reliability, with filter media type clearly inscribed on the barrel, ensuring excellent unit-to-unit and lot-to-lot reproducibility and consistency. It includes a high purity virgin polypropylene housing with no dyes or pigments added, and each unit type is available as an individually wrapped gamma sterilized pack. The unique concentric funnel-shaped barrel increases volume and decreases back pressure. The polyamide/nylon (PA) hydrophilic filter media is recommended for filtration of aqueous or organic/aqueous medium polar liquids, commonly used for general laboratory filtration and filtration of HPLC and GC samples prior to injection, dissolution sample analysis, and suitable for use with high pH samples. It is not suitable for protein recovery applications because it binds proteins but, when coupled with a microfiber prefilter, offers higher absorption capacity for contamination.
