The kit includes disposable Luer-Lok™ and pressure fitting components ultrasonically bonded for reliability, featuring filter media type clearly inscribed on the barrel for identification. It offers excellent unit-to-unit and lot-to-lot reproducibility and consistency, constructed with high purity virgin polypropylene housing without dyes or pigments. Each unit type is available as an individually wrapped gamma sterilized pack. The design incorporates a unique concentric funnel-shaped barrel that increases volume and decreases back pressure. The filter media made of hydrophilic polyamide/nylon (PA) is recommended for filtration of aqueous or organic/aqueous polar liquids, commonly used in general laboratory filtration and for HPLC and GC sample preparation prior to injection. It is suitable for dissolution sample analysis and use with high pH samples; however, it binds proteins and is not suitable for protein recovery applications. With a microfiber prefilter, it has a higher absorption capacity for contamination.
