The kit includes 12x12 sheets of an analytical purity grade cellulose-based paper, provided in bulk between rigid protective chipboard sheets for easy dispensing from a convenient dispenser box designed for lab bench or shelf storage, helping keep the product free of debris and damage during use. This unique media is nitrogen-free, ideal for Kjeldahl digestion methods, with sufficient structural integrity to resist tearing during quadrant folding or enveloping. The surface is highly calendared with a non-treated gloss to a smoothness that resists sample hold or moisture absorption, featuring a surface texture designed to increase abrasion durability during spatula scraping. The media demonstrates excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility, and material chemistries are verified against a standard using GC techniques prior to the paper-making process. Other applications include slip sheets between samples and slides, short-term moisture barriers, liners within containers, and laminating backing for structural support. It is great for compounding pastes and gels, replacing the need for a compounding slab. The semi-opaque, milk-white calendared cellulose paper has high gloss, is non-absorbent, nitrogen-free, with a basis weight target of 30lb per 3000ft² (48.8 g/m²) within a range of 29.0lb to 31.0lb as per TAPPI method T410, and a target thickness of 0.0015 inch (0.05mm) or 1.5mil.
