The kit includes 12x12 inch sheets of analytical purity grade cellulose-based paper stored in a convenient dispenser box that facilitates easy dispensing and helps keep the product free of debris and damage during use. These sheets are provided in bulk between rigid protective chipboard sheets for lab bench drawer storage. The media is nitrogen-free, ideal for Kjeldahl digestion methods, and exhibits sufficient structural integrity to resist tearing during quadrant folding or enveloping. Its highly calendered, non-treated gloss surface ensures smoothness that resists sample hold or moisture absorption and features a surface texture designed to increase abrasion durability during spatula scraping. The material demonstrates excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility with chemistries verified by GC techniques prior to paper making. Additional applications include use as slip sheets between samples and slides, short-term moisture barrier exposure, liners within containers, and laminating backing for structural support. It is great for compounding pastes and gels, replacing the need for compounding slabs. The media is semi-opaque, milk white calendered cellulose paper with a high gloss, non-absorbent finish, and is compliant with 21 CFR regulations. It has a basis weight target of 30 lb per 3000 ft² (48.8 g/m²), with an allowed range of 29.0 lb to 31.0 lb measured by TAPPI method T410, and a target thickness of 0.0015 inch (0.05 mm or 1.5 mil).
