The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Fibre Disc 1182C features re-engineered 3M precision shaped grain, enhancing the speed and life of Cubitron™ performance abrasives. It provides increased productivity and lower grinding costs compared to other fiber discs and depressed center grinding wheels when grinding mild or carbon steels. This disc delivers up to 60% more total material removal than the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fibre Disc 982C, 36+, with a fast cut rate and high stock removal across various application pressures. Designed to reduce hand-arm vibration exposure, it increases throughput and allows completion of more parts per disc for medium to high-pressure grinding applications. The 1182C disc supports both manual use with 3M™ angle grinders and automated processes such as robotic weld grinding, improving uptime, throughput, consistency, and efficiency. It enhances automated abrasive processes by extending product life, increasing cut rate, and maintaining wear consistency, thereby optimizing or encouraging automation of grinding operations.
