The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Roloc™ fibre disc 1182C features re-engineered 3M™ precision-shaped grain, providing increased productivity and lower overall grinding costs compared to other quick-change discs when grinding mild or carbon steels. This long-lasting disc offers a fast cut rate with high stock removal across a wide range of application pressures, designed to increase throughput and complete more parts per disc in medium to high-pressure grinding applications. The disc's exceptionally high cut rate requires less pressure than conventional abrasives, reducing operator fatigue. It has a stiff fiber backing and a strong resin bond, which provide durability and tear resistance for heavy grinding, beveling, medium-pressure surface grinding, weld removal, blending, and robotic operations. The curved sides of the precision-shaped grain maintain sharp points that cut exceptionally fast with less pressure, while the cool cutting action reduces metal discoloration and the risk of stress cracks on mild or carbon steels.
