The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Roloc® fibre disc 1182C features re-engineered 3M™ precision-shaped grain, offering enhanced speed and longevity compared to other quick-change discs when grinding mild or carbon steels. It delivers a fast cut rate with high stock removal across a wide range of application pressures, designed to increase throughput and allow more parts per disc in medium to high-pressure grinding applications. The disc's high cut rate requires less pressure than conventional abrasives, reducing operator fatigue, while its stiff fiber backing and strong resin bond provide durability and tear resistance suitable for heavy grinding, beveling, medium-pressure surface grinding, weld removal, blending, and robotic operations. The curved sides of the precision-shaped grain maintain sharp points for fast cutting with less pressure, enabling predictable wear and reducing metal discoloration and stress cracks on mild or carbon steels. This long-lasting, cool-cutting disc continuously self-sharpens as points break off, slicing cleanly through metal with even wear.
