The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Roloc™ fibre disc 1182C features re-engineered 3M™ precision-shaped grain that enhances the speed and life of 3M™ Cubitron™ performance abrasives, enabling increased productivity and lower overall grinding costs compared to other quick-change discs when grinding mild or carbon steels. This disc offers a fast cut rate with high stock removal across a wide range of application pressures and is designed to increase throughput and allow completion of more parts per disc during medium to high-pressure grinding applications. It helps reduce operator fatigue through its exceptionally high cut rate that requires less pressure than conventional abrasives. The disc includes a stiff fiber backing and a strong resin bond providing durability and tear resistance suitable for medium to high-pressure grinding tasks. The re-engineered 3M™ precision-shaped grain slices cleanly through metal, wears evenly, and continuously self-sharpens as points break off. The curved sides of the grain maintain sharp points for fast cuts with less pressure, and the disc supports a variety of mineral grades for heavy grinding, beveling, medium-pressure surface grinding, weld removal, blending, and robotic operations. It enables cool cutting that reduces metal discoloration and the risk of stress cracks on mild or carbon steels.
