The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Roloc™ Fibre Disc 1182C features re-engineered 3M™ precision-shaped grain, delivering increased productivity and lower grinding costs compared to other quick-change discs when grinding mild or carbon steels. This long-lasting disc offers a fast cut rate with high stock removal across a wide range of application pressures, designed to increase throughput and enable completion of more parts per disc in medium to high-pressure grinding applications. Its exceptionally high cut rate requires less pressure than conventional abrasives, reducing operator fatigue. The disc has a stiff fiber backing and strong resin bond that provide durability and tear resistance, suitable for medium to high-pressure grinding projects. The re-engineered 3M™ precision-shaped grain slices cleanly through metal, wears evenly, and continuously self-sharpens as points break off. The optimized mineral with curved sides maintains sharp points for fast cutting with less pressure. The disc is built tough for heavy grinding, beveling, medium-pressure surface grinding, weld removal, blending, and robotic operations. Cool cutting requires less pressure, allowing predictable wear while reducing metal discoloration and the risk of stress cracks on mild or carbon steels.
