The JohnDow™ vehicle fire blanket, model JDI-VFB1, measures 19-1/2 x 29-1/2 inches (6 x 9 meters) and is made from high temperature-resistant material designed to suppress fires in electric (EV), hybrid, and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by depriving the fire of oxygen and minimizing combustion, thereby reducing fire temperature. The flexible blanket covers most vehicles and contains toxic smoke derived from combustion as well as thick smoke for better visibility. It is intended for single use and can be deployed in under a minute by two people, using oversized straps for comfortable deployment. The blanket is stored in a compact, waterproof bag and is quickly deployable from a highly visible storage rack. It is suitable for use on any passenger vehicle, including gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles, and is ideal for environments such as parking lots, automotive repair facilities, firefighters, parking structures, service stations, and charging stations.
