The Baldor-Reliance motor is a 3HP, 1750RPM, DC motor with a 184TC frame, model number 3668D, featuring a Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) enclosure and shunt wound design. It is equipped with Class F insulation and is specifically designed for use with NEMA type K SCR control, offering a 20:1 constant torque speed range, with exceptions noted. The motor includes a NEMA C-face and a removable base, although explosion proof models do not have this feature, and the base is welded on the type 3513D only. Additionally, NEMA 182 and larger units are equipped with a thermostat featuring normally closed contacts on the field winding.
