The Baldor-Realiance motor is a 2HP, 1750 RPM, DC motor designed with a 213C frame and a 3646D design. It features a Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) enclosure and is shunt wound with Class F insulation, making it suitable for use with NEMA type K SCR control. The motor offers a 20:1 constant torque speed range, except where otherwise noted, and has a NEMA C-face with a removable base, although this is not applicable to explosion proof models. The base is welded on type 3513D only, and motors with frames NEMA 182 and larger include a thermostat with normally closed contacts on the field winding. It should be noted that there are no dual mounting base holes on 35D, 75D, or 91D types. Typical applications for this motor include conveyors, printing, textile equipment, machine tools, and other equipment that requires variable speeds with constant torque.
