These thread rolling Plastite 48-2 screws are specifically designed for use in thermoplastics, engineering resins, and certain thermosets. The unique 48° thread profile enhances holding strength while minimizing material displacement. Flat head screws are employed when the protrusion of the fastener above the mating surface is not permissible, typically featuring either a 100-degree flat for standard applications or an 82-degree flat for fastening softer materials.
