Iglide® clip bearings are engineered for the installation of shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring flanges on both ends for secure placement. These bearings can be installed from one side due to their angled slit design, which allows them to open and create a lining for the bore hole after installation. The shaft effectively prevents detachment from the housing, ensuring that the bearing remains fixed even during axial movement. The lateral slit accommodates bearing expansion caused by temperature or moisture, reducing the slit width and minimizing clearance during such expansions. The smaller flange diameter is designed to secure housings with larger tolerances. These bearings are lightweight, maintenance-free, and self-lubricating, providing excellent wear resistance and smooth operation suitable for both rotational and linear movements. They can accommodate sheet metal thicknesses ranging from .040 to .135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm) and are made from Iglide® M250 material. Custom dimensions are also available to meet specific requirements.
