Iglide® clip bearings are specifically engineered for inserting shafts through sheet metal plates, featuring dual flanges located on both ends to ensure secure installation. The clip bearings are designed with an angled slit that allows for one-sided installation and, once in place, the bearing expands to form a lining for the bore hole in the metal plate. The shaft serves to keep the clip bearing fixed within the housing, maintaining its position even with axial movement. The lateral slit design permits compensation for bearing expansion due to variations in temperature or moisture, effectively minimizing clearance as the slit width decreases during expansion. The smaller flange diameter is tailored to accommodate housings with larger tolerances. The bearings are lightweight, maintenance-free, and self-lubricating, offering excellent wear resistance and smooth operation, making them suitable for both rotational and linear movements. They are compatible with sheet metal thicknesses ranging from .040 to .135 inches (2mm, 3mm, and 4mm) and are composed of Iglide® M250 material.
