The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features advanced technology and a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys suitable for both routine and severe working environments. The hoist includes several key features such as "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that logs the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, a fan-cooled motor allowing for cooler operation of both the motor and brake, along with low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley is equipped with an exceptionally durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to enhance trolley motion and minimize beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in compliance with ASME B30.16.
