The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporate advanced technology and a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys that are reliable for both routine tasks and severe working environments. The hoists feature "The Guardian," a smart brake technology utilizing a current driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. Additional specifications include grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave that minimizes vibration and extends chain life, and a fan-cooled motor that ensures cooler operation. The design also includes low profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley features a durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers for smoother motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
