The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features advanced technology for high-quality, low headroom, full-featured performance suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which incorporates a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. The hoists come with a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. They are equipped with a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, as well as low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to meet RoHS environmental requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist includes a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
