The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and include a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features encompass "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter to track and display the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. The design features a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, and low profile upper and lower limit switches, complemented by plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate that verifies it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
