The Nerp Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature advanced technology and a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the hoists incorporate a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each unit is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of the rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
