The NERP Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive that enables exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that facilitates speed adjustability and integral hour counting functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design includes a 5-pocket load sheave that minimizes vibration and extends chain life, a cooler motor and brake resulting from a fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, are built in an environmentally friendly manner to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
