The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with advanced technology and are equipped with a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists that ensure reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoists feature "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which includes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. Other specifications include a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter to track the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave that minimizes vibration and extends chain life, and a cooler motor and brake system due to the fan-cooled motor. Additionally, the hoists include low-profile upper and lower limit switches, along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built in compliance with RoHS requirements, and surpass the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
