The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under the cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control along with field adjustable two speeds, achieving up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, as well as a grade 80 nickel plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional attributes consist of a 5 pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor that results in a cooler motor and brake, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and convenient plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in accordance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
