The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features advanced technology and includes a push/pull trolley, resulting in a high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoist suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key features comprise "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that tracks and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operation time, and a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. Additionally, the system incorporates a cooler motor and brake due to its fan-cooled design, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
