The Nerm Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature a motorized trolley with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive hoist, which enhances load control and offers field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that engages only when the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality that records and displays lowering starts and hoist operational time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave that reduces vibration and extends chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, as well as low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoist and trolley are UL listed to UL 1340, are built to be environmentally friendly meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Trolley features consist of a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to ensure smoother trolley motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
