The Nerp Dual Speed Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley equipped with an under the cover variable frequency drive, which provides excellent load control and field adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the hoists are designed with a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake resulting from the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to meet environmentally friendly ROHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
