The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology and features a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys suitable for reliable daily performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoist includes "The Guardian" smart brake technology with a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, a Grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. It also features a 5 pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, as well as low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley is designed with an extremely durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers for smoother trolley motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
