The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features an under the cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control and field adjustable two speeds, achieving up to a 12:1 speed ratio. It includes "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which consists of a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, along with a grade 80 nickel plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and has integral hour count functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Other key features include a 5 pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor that promotes cooler operation of both the motor and brake, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
