The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington is engineered with advanced technology and features a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoists include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. Other key attributes consist of a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake operation. Additionally, the hoists are equipped with low profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, compliant with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16 standards.
