The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with advanced technology, resulting in high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and demanding environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is powered, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operational time. The design incorporates a five pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, while the fan cooled motor contributes to cooler operation of both the motor and brake. Additional specifications include low profile upper and lower limit switches, plug-in pendant, and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, are built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
