The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with the latest technology, incorporating a motorized trolley to deliver high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys that ensure reliable performance in both routine and severe working conditions. Key hoist features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional attributes include a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists have received UL listing to UL 1340, are built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Trolley features consist of a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers that facilitate smoother trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has undergone factory load testing to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
