The Nerp Dual Speed Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, providing excellent load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian": smart brake technology, which incorporates a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, along with a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive offers speed adjustability and has an integral count hour functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The hoists also include a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. All hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
