The Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor is designed for occupancy detection and offers 360° coverage with features such as push-button programming, adjustable time delays, and a 100-hour lamp burn-in timer, complemented by a green LED indicator. It is UL and cUL listed, making it suitable for a variety of applications. Constructed specifically for small rooms with drop ceilings and areas free of obstructions, the CM 9 is lightweight and easy to install, allowing for surface mounting to drop ceilings or ceiling grids. The sensor operates on 12 to 24 VAC/VDC power and is typically used with a PP20 or MP20 power pack, enabling control of complete 20 amp circuits. For optimal installation, it is recommended to position the sensor along the entrance door wall to prevent it from capturing views into the hallway while ensuring that the entire room is within its detection range.
